Discover the mountains easily and comfortably by e-bike together with a local and knowledgable guide. Our guides just love cycling and they know all about the geography, geology and history of the region. Only with the certified guides from E-Bike Guide Salzkammergut will you find the best gems of places, the most beautiful views and the most traditional huts.
Our group size is 6 people max so that our guides can tailor each tour to your needs. Speed and destinations are indivually personalised for each group.

Each guided tour is tailored to the participants: the possibilities go from sightseeing tours from hut to hut to riding at a bikepark. The duration of half day tours is about 3 hours (1.5 hours pure cycling time). The duration of full day tours is about 6 hours (3 hours pure cycling time).

Join our guided e-mountainbike tour into the alpine pastures of the Salzkammergut. With the support of modern E- Mountainbikes, you will explore the mountains on wide gravel and forest roads – from valley floors up to high pastures – visiting beautiful viewpoints, photo spots, and traditional alpine huts along the way. The E-motor makes the climbs much easier, but please note: this is a real mountain experience.

You will ride several uphills and downhills on gravel roads, covering between 900 and 1,400 meters of elevation and 30–45 km distance on full day tours, between 650 and 1.100 meters of elevation and 25-35 km distance on have day tours, depending on the route, weather and group. This requires a basic level of fitness and cycling confidence, though no technical trail skills are needed.

Mountain weather can change quickly. Even in summer, temperatures can drop to 5°C (40°F), and rain, wind or sudden changes are possible. Therefore, appropriate clothing is essential for your safety – sturdy shoes, multiple layers, and a wind/rainproof jacket are strongly recommended. Our certified local guides are experienced e-mountainbikers and experts of the region. They will adjust the pace and route to the group’s abilities, ensuring that the ride stays both safe and enjoyable. Along the way, you will also learn about the history, culture, and nature of the Salzkammergut region, including Hallstatt and Gosau.

This is not a technical mountainbike trail tour, but a sportive and scenic alpine adventure – perfect for active travelers who want to experience the real mountains by bike.

General points:

• To wear a helmet is compulsory at our shop. If you don’t have helmets with you, you’ll get some at our shop (included in guided tours).
• An insurance for the bike is included in the price, damages up to EUR 200,– have to be paid by you, over EUR 200,– is paid by insurance.
• Please be sure to bring some warm and weatherproof clothes with you, sneakers (no sandals), a backpack will be very practicable.
• Bad weather policy: if you cancel until 24 hours before the trip, nothing will be charged. If you are not sure about the weather, feel free to contact us at any time.
• No alcohol during the tour
• Make sure that you are in a good physical and mental state and that you bring all personally needed medicines with you.
• The participation for persons below 18 years is always in full responsibility of the parents or persons in parental authority.
